My credentials
On the My credentials page you manage your own sign-in details. The details are personal: they apply to you on all BrewOS accounts you have access to.
You reach the page by clicking your name or picture in the top right corner of the page. You also land on the page automatically when you sign in with a sign-in link sent to your email (for example after a password reset or a user invitation), so that you can set a password for yourself.
Changing your email address
Your email address is your username: you sign in with it, and password reset links are sent to it.
- Click the link change address under Your email address.
- Type the new address and press update.
The new address is in use immediately. BrewOS does not send a confirmation message to the new address, so check that you typed the address correctly. If the address is wrong, you cannot use password reset.
Changing the address also removes your remembered sign-ins (see below), so in those browsers you have to sign in again next time.
Changing your password
- Click the link change password under Password.
- Type the new password and press update.
The new password must have at least 10 characters and must not contain spaces. A shorter password set earlier continues to work until you change it. Use a password you do not use anywhere else.
After you change your password, remembered sign-ins stop working: browsers in which you had chosen Remember me in this browser ask you to sign in next time. Sessions that are already open are not cut off, so sign out of them separately if needed.
Strong authentication
Under Strong authentication you can see whether one-time codes (OTP) are in use, and you can enable or disable them. See the detailed instructions: Strong authentication.
Picture
Under Picture you can set a profile picture for yourself (set picture or change picture, then save). The picture is shown in the page's top bar next to your name.
Your own event log
The Event log at the bottom of the page shows the 50 most recent events you have made on all accounts, including sign-ins and changes to your own credentials. You can use it to check whether someone has signed in with your credentials or done something you did not do yourself. See also Event log.
Language and look
From the language menu in the top bar you can switch the user interface to Finnish (suomi), Swedish (svenska) or English (English). The choice is saved to your credentials, so the same language is used in other browsers you sign in with. Events in the event log are also shown in the language you choose, and BrewOS sends you sign-in links and invitations in this language.
By default BrewOS uses the renewed look. With the Old look button in the top bar you can return to the earlier look, and in the old look the New look button takes you back. The look you choose is also saved to your credentials. The menu paths and buttons in these guides are described according to the renewed look.
Accounts and switching account
One user can have access to several company accounts, and they can have a different role on each account. Click the accounts link in the top bar, and the Accounts page shows your role on each of your accounts, the account number (id) and the time of the account's latest event. Switch to another account by clicking it.
The top bar always shows the name of the account you are currently using.
Creating a new company account
You can create a new company account, for example for another company:
- Click the accounts link in the top bar.
- Press create new company account.
- Enter Your name (shown to the account's other users) and Your company name (used in printouts).
- Press Create company account.
You become the new account's Owner, and BrewOS opens the account's Settings > Company details page, where you can complete the company's details. Opening an account is free of charge; see BrewOS fees and Getting started.
Signing out
Sign out with the sign out link in the top bar. Signing out also removes the remembered sign-in in this browser.
