Netbaron integration

If you use the Netbaron accounting software, you can send invoices approved in BrewOS to Netbaron. BrewOS sends the invoice to Netbaron in Finvoice 3.0 format.

When Netbaron is used, invoices are approved and numbered in BrewOS, and credit notes can also be made in BrewOS. Payments and accounts receivable, however, are not tracked in BrewOS. See the comparison in the Invoicing guide.

Getting started

  1. Get API user credentials from Netbaron.
  2. In BrewOS, open Settings > Invoicing and choose Netbaron settings at the bottom of the page (requires the owner role).
  3. Fill in the fields:
    • Server address – for example https://ssl1.netbaron.fi
    • Organisation – your company's name in Netbaron
    • Password – the API user's password
  4. Press Save changes and enable Netbaron. Saving immediately makes Netbaron the account's invoicing system and replaces any previous system.

Sending an invoice to Netbaron

  1. Create the invoice and finish the draft, see Invoicing.
  2. Press Approve. The invoice gets a BrewOS invoice number and is locked.
  3. On the approved invoice's page, press Send to Netbaron. BrewOS sends the invoice immediately.

When sending succeeds, the notice Invoice sent to Netbaron is shown, the invoice status is Sent to accounting, and the Send to Netbaron button disappears. If Netbaron returns its own invoice number for the invoice, BrewOS replaces the invoice number with it. BrewOS does not follow the processing of the invoice in Netbaron after this.

If sending fails, the invoice page shows the notice Error sending to Netbaron: and the reason for the error, and the Send to Netbaron button remains visible. Check, for example, the credentials in the Netbaron settings and try again.

Credit note

  1. On the approved invoice's page, choose Credit from the ⋯ menu. BrewOS creates a credit note draft with the original invoice's rows as negative amounts.
  2. On the credit note's page, press Approve.
  3. Press Send to Netbaron.

See more about crediting in the Invoicing guide.
